In 2007, THE ONE GROUP commissioned an extensive programme of market research to ascertain EXACTLY what our clients wanted from each of our divisions. This included jobseekers in the executive market; the conclusions were really quite simple:
Applicants Want:
- A single point of contact with a Consultant who possesses the knowledge and expertise to appreciate ALL elements of what is required from their next career move.
- Regular contact from a Consultant who will provide advice on the status of the career search, market activity and expectation levels in line with current market intelligence.
- Thorough briefings on prospective roles, including a detailed appraisal of the vacancy AND company and how this fits with the parameters of the career search.
- Regular feedback at all stages of an application - positive AND negative.
- Value-adding interview preparation including details of the process and the individuals involved.
Applicants DON'T Want
- Continually changing points of contact requiring constant updating.
- Inaccurate CV preparation and presentation
- Submission of a CV to role that has not been discussed or even previously presented.
- Being exposed to an interview with insufficient preparation, input, job specifications etc.
- Continual notification of vacancies that do not match the criteria of the job search - just because the salary is in the right bracket, it doesn't mean that the company and/or role is suitable!

- ONE EXECUTIVE will work in partnership with applicants to define specific, achievable criteria for the career search. Following this, roles will be discussed in detail and we will arrive at an agreement to apply for a vacancy BEFORE the CV is sent.
- Feedback will be provided at each stage of the process - whether the application is being progressed or not. ONE EXECUTIVE will not leave candidates unsure of whether they have been successful.
ONE EXECUTIVE will offer a full interview-preparation meeting where we shall provide specific information of how your experience meets with the requirements of our client and areas that our client is likely to explore at interview. EXECUTIVE promotes transparency at each stage of the application process. Our clients will be aware of salary/package expectations right from the stage that the CV is received to ensure that negotiations are not compromised at the conclusion of a process.
