This is a newly created Finance Business Partner role for a well-established, and growing, organisation based in East Hertfordshire.

You will work closely with both the finance team, Managing Director and core Business Unit Directors to analyse and drive business commercially.

  • Liaise with Project and Commercial Managers across multiple business units to drive timely, correct and efficient data output, identify areas of improvement and drive growth.
  • Drive the evolution of management information and analysis.
  • Create reports designed to analyse current business issues and evaluate progress.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to support decision-making by management.
  • Attend monthly project review meetings to understand and report on project positions and identify risks or opportunities.
  • Ensure Leadership Team have the right information they need at the right time in the agreed format to make the right business decisions.
  • Work with Finance Manager to nurture and develop Finance Team to increase personal growth & depth in their skills and capabilities.
  • Produce quarterly project appraisals for assigned entities with variance analysis to budget & prior forecast.
  • Actively support budget holders in reviewing performance information to identify areas for potential savings or delivering more outputs within permitted budgets, manage risks and draft action plans to mitigate risks.
  • Monthly updates to project appraisals liaising with relevant departments/Directors to obtain updated relevant information whilst challenging assumptions and liaising with Management Accountant to produce a monthly schedule of movements to the FD which provides enough interrogation of and description of movements ready to present to The Board.
