The ONE Group is proud to announce the arrival of new team members in Peterborough.

Over the past few months The One Group has recruited 4 experienced consultants from other Peterborough-based recruitment agencies to provide an even more dedicated and focused service to our clients and candidates.

How long have you worked in Recruitment?

Over the past four years I have worked as a Temporaries Consultant, covering allaspects of commercial recruitment including administration, customer service, PA/Secretarial, and call centre appointments.

Why did you move to The One Group?

I have a good knowledge of the recruitment agencies within Peterborough and the surrounding area and I approached The One Group as they have a fantastic reputation from both candidates and clients. I wanted to be part of the largest recruitment agency in Peterborough and enjoy the benefits of their success.

How does this benefit you?

The One Group is a rapidly growing company. For many years we have deserved areputation as a leading Accountancy and Commercial recruiter and have more recently expanded into other, specialist areas of HR and IT recruitment due to client demand.

How does this benefit your candidates?

Unlike other agencies, The One Group understands that candidates are the most important aspect of our job! Our candidates represent us in many arenas; atemporary assignment, at interview, or by recommendation and referral. We havea file full of 'thank you' cards and letters from candidates we've worked with which is very rewarding.

What advice would you give to anyone looking to change their job in the next 6 months?

To many people the job market is a scary place to be in currently due to highly publicised redundancies and increasing unemployment over the past year.

Peterborough and the surrounding area has however, fared far more favourably than the rest of the country and there are many employers we are working with who are recruitingagain. I hope this is set to improve throughout this year!

That doesn't mean it's easy though, you have to be prepared, focused and confidentin your approach. That's where we come in. We work hard to ensure that every candidate we represent is given as much information as possible to make their job search as successful as possible.

We understand that interviews can be daunting, particularly if you haven't attended one for several years. We will fully brief you on the job specification, talk through the interview process and even conduct example, competency based questions and role- play. By the time you have beenthrough this the prospect of the REAL interview is nowhere near as frightening!

When I was working for a competitor I always envied the reputation The One Group held within the market place, now I'm working here it's fantastic.
