A world-leading, polar research organisation are looking for an Application Support Engineer to assist the various systems and solutions within the company. This is a truly unique opportunity, where you will work with some amazing people, in incredible locations, such as the Antarctic, how cool! (Sorry…)
You will join an organisation which deliver research that uses the Polar Regions to advance our understanding of Earth as a sustainable planet. This is supported by Sir David Attenborough, and you may even have an opportunity to work on the brand-new Sir David Attenborough ship!
The Role:
- You will be working as part of the wider IT team, but a large focus will be on the various applications and projects
- Ensuring the systems / services can technically deliver business needs
- Application Configuration and installation
- Get involved in various IT related projects
- Ongoing support and maintenance
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience supporting a range of applications and/or systems
- Office 365 and Sharepoint knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Right to work within the UK without restrictions
Head office is based in Cambridge; however, they offer a flexible working pattern. It is likely to be 2-3 days in the office, 2-3 days remote. Travel will be required with this position which usually lasts between 4 and 12 weeks. It is likely this will be once a year. Flexibility is key.
