To start with you will have a vital role on the customer services team, who are lively, friendly, love a good chat, have plenty of banter but also work hard and fit a lot of work into their day. The progression opportunities for you are endless and as the company grows so does each department making you very well placed to move into a different specialised team such as marketing, hr, finance, technical or sales, however there is also team leader and management opportunities to be had across the company.

Career development aside my client is working with some of the largest names in the world and providing a vital service to them. As a result your day will be packed full of calls and administration tasks and the time will fly past, however, as the team is so close you could often find yourself in various social settings such as the pub or playing sports with your work colleagues after hours.

Your day could look like:

  • Cup of tea
  • Morning catch up with the team
  • Time to work
  • Wow your customers with your excellent customer care skills
  • Be very organised with your administration and order processing
  • Help the buyers with product selection
  • Overcome problems
  • Providing quotes
  • Helping with information and documents required
  • Sending our marketing literature and catalogues
  • Arranging samples to be sent to clients
  • Working closely with an Account Manager on larger orders and bespoke products
  • Setting up new customer accounts
  • Organising credit notes and invoices
  • Pricing information
  • Tracking deliveries
  • Arrange same day transport

I think you get the idea that this is a wonderfully busy and varied role, no two days will be the same which is pretty rare in customer services.

I would like to speak to someone who is excellent over the phone, is very organised, loves to have a varied workload and has worked in a phone or office based role before. However, that said skills can be taught and if you have worked in a customer-facing role such as retail or hospitality and can demonstrate you have the drive and determination to do a great role then please apply to me
