I've partnered up with a Cambridge based company who are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join their growing business. You'll join a small, close knit team of technical people, but security will be your area. From monitoring, improving defences, reacting to incidents and consulting on governance, risk and compliance.

What you'll typically get involved with:

  • Day to day responsibility of businesscyber security
    • Monitoring
    • Analysing
    • Responding
    • Logging
    • Evaluating
  • Test infrastructure regularly and undertake servicing and maintenance; conducting appropriate risk assessments and ensure that appropriate changes are made within agreed timescales.
  • Evaluate and improve on existing security procedures and practices
  • Keep up to date with security technologies and industry changes, researching and procuring new and recommended technologies for security improvements.
  • Support the education and training of staff around cyber issues
  • Respond to out of hours cyber incidents as a part of the Incident Response Team.

Like what you're reading? - Here's what you'll need to be a good fit:

  • At least two years designated Cyber or SOC experience
  • Good knowledge of other IT aspects
    • Networks
    • Firewalls
    • Operating Systems
    • Hardware/Software
  • Proven knowledge of managing cyber risk and dealing with security vendors and suppliers
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
