£55,000 - £58,000

Our client is an established global leader in the design, engineering and manufacture of combustion equipment and advanced environmental systems for the petrochemical industry.

If you are an experienced E&I Engineer who is a self-motivated, confident decision maker and looking to join an ever-growing business with a tasty package this could be the role for you.

You will be able to review the project file to confirm the Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls scope based on customer specifications. Also write data and understand electrical motor controls drawings.

  • Mon - Fri 8.30 - 17.00

Responsibilities

  • Development of the P&ID's as per the customer symbols and Legends
  • Assist with the preparation of; Instrument Data sheets, Electrical drives, MCC data sheets, Instrument Index document and Hook-up drawings
  • Look at vendor quotes and aid the procurement department
  • Design electrical panels to automate equipment including; PLC control panels, Motor starter panels, VSD panels, junction boxes and local control panels
  • Preparation of PLC/DCS I/O lists
  • Input BOMs into SAGE
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in controls and instrumentation environment
  • From a power generation or electrical or oil & gas or petrochemical or combustion background
  • Familiar with; safety systems for controls, European safety standards, Safety Integrity Level (SIL), IEC 61508 and 61511 and Hazardous area standards (ATEX)
  • Use of Electrical AutoCAD desirable
  • Experience in control panel building, hardwired relay and timer-based logic
  • Understanding of P&IDs
