This position of Process Development Engineer is for somebody with a few years' practical experience within the semiconductor industry.
This is a multi-disciplinary team based in Cambridge who are growing quickly and have ambitious plans for the future!
The Role:
- Develop, configure and optimise etching processes and process control plan
- Develop on-line monitoring methods and sustain monitoring for existing products
- Plan and execute process qualification for new equipment
- Explore and find relationships between process parameters and final product quality
- Design and conduct experiments to verify new materials and new processes
- Develop methods and models for process monitoring, fault detection and predictive control
- Manage projects
- Write SOPs, work instructions and troubleshooting documentation
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve problems and support product development
- Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
About You:
- At least three years' professional experience in a semiconductor production environment, including wet etching
- Ideally, you will also have worked with GaN-on-silicon, chemical solutions and solvents
- Demonstrable experience in designing experiments. material characterisation techniques and process development
- Demonstrable experience of data analysis and SPC
- Experiences in modelling and simulation using MATLAB and Python
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
