Our client is a leader in their field and they currently have an exciting opportunity which will suit someone who enjoys adding value to the finance team that they are working as part of whilst being able to carve out a niche in a small team.

Ideally newly or nearly qualified, candidates who are qualified by their experience and bring the right energy and enthusiasm will also be considered.

This position will have a focus on the operational side of the business and will interact closely with site stakeholders, in order to gain a keen understanding of key drivers.

Duties will be varied and will include

• Daily, weekly and monthly reporting, identifying areas where improvements and enhancements can be made
• Supporting preparation of monthly management accounts paying keen attention to costs and inventory reporting
• Standard costing of jobs, variance investigations
• Assisting with budget setting, working closely with Operations and Production teams
• Working closely with Financial Accountant and assisting with month end and year end accounting where necessary
• Ad hoc project work
• ERP system improvements

This role will suit someone who enjoys getting under the skin of a business. It requires someone who enjoys communicating with non-finance stakeholders and has proven experience in a similar role.

Whilst the business is large, the team you will be part of is small, and as a result, you will have a meaningful input and will feel that you are really making a difference.

Ideally nearly or newly qualified CIMA / ACCA, if you are qualified by your experience and have the right attitude and approach, then this could be the role for you.

Whilst you will be expected to travel between sites in Cambridgeshire and South Lincolnshire, hybrid working is available alongside a competitive salary and benefits package.
