This vacancy comes at an exciting time with this role offering the successful candidate an opportunity to work with the Executive Team to take the business through a phase of controlled growth. The challenge will be one of maintaining high standards whilst growing.

We are working with the business to find an experienced and highly competent Financial Controller who understands the education sector, has the ability to maintain the strong financial position and ensures they continue to meet their compliance requirements in line with the Handbook.

The successful candidate will be a hands on Finance Manager looking to step up or an FC or FD looking to utilise their skills in an environment with flexibility and challenges to get their teeth into that will blend strategic and hands-on operational accounting.

You'll have a record of successful strategic leadership and financial management (happy to be strategic and operational according to the needs), being flexible and having the determination to succeed, along with an understanding of the need to be empathetic to the needs of you business partners.

The role can be flexible in terms of hours and working from home but will require travel across 5-6 sites in Milton Keynes, Northampton and Buckingham.

Initially a 6 month contract, this role offers a great opportunity to add value in a short space of time and hold the fort with the opportunity to progress after 6 months into a permanent FD position within the company.
