Head of IT
The Head of IT is a key member of the senior management team and will oversee the management of the IT department (including 3rd parties)
You will be responsible for developing & implementing the IT strategy and leading key digital projects that will sit across all business-as-usual activity.
The team maintains and develops a multi-faceted infrastructure; primarily physical and virtualised with some cloud-based services, with an in-house development team writing bespoke software.
Responsibilities:
Effective team leadership, coaching and development; ensuring all IT team members have the requisite skills, experience, qualifications, knowledge and competence to perform the roles assigned to them and that they are appropriately managed to deliver business and individual objectives and BAU requirements
Work with the Executive and senior management team to define and implement the medium and long-term IT Strategy
Day to day management and support of the IT/Support team all performance management activities.
Ownership and oversight of all IT architecture within the business
Management and ownership of all IT projects and Programmes
Ownership and management of all key 3rd party IT relationships within the business
Management of all Cyber security requirements in the business
Provide strategic guidance, project/programme support whilst ensuring change is delivered on time and within budget
Work with the wider management team and Executive Team to ensure there is a clear understanding of business priorities
Ensure high quality, efficient project management processes and ensure ways of working are conducive to organisational objectives
Required
A degree in computer science
Minimum 5 years experience in an IT management position
Cyber Security principles and best practice.
Proficient in IT infrastructure which includes Windows server, Virtual Servers, LAN, VAN, WAN, telephony, server administration, desktop support, printers, and barcode scanning devices.
Desirable
Experience in a manufacturing environment and working with IT and OT systems
D365 knowledge
Software Development management experience - ideally in an Agile environment
Networking experience
C# / Delphi / .Net knowledge
