Are you looking for a management level role where you can develop your existing skills and those of your team?

Can you deliver a professional, high quality, people focused and value adding service across a large organisation?

If you have significant practical and demonstrable experience of generalist people/HR operations practices along with experience of managing a small team, this is a role could be perfect!

You will report to the Head of HR and will have line management responsibility for a maximum of 5 people.

Ideally you will be willing to continuously develop your professional knowledge, experience and understanding and have the ability to travel across the county to facilitate the effective delivery of the role and to participate in meetings etc.

You will need be Level 7 CIPD qualified or have an equivalent qualification OR demonstrable equivalent experience.

Duties will include:
Leading the People Partner Team, focusing on transformational rather than transactional delivery.
Coach and influence managers from a people perspective, developing their leadership and people management skills.
Identify underlying issues constraining performance improvement and assist in the identification and implementation of innovative and credible solutions.
Develop and promote effective and credible working relationships to ensure best delivery of service.
Demonstrate, promote and role-model values and behaviours.
Deputise for the Head of People and represent the function and/or Service at meetings as required.
Coach and develop direct reports to help them contribute and develop both professionally and personally in order to achieve their full potential.
Recruit, manage, and review team performance with the aim of developing skills and knowledge through a culture of learning, collaborative working and excellence in order to build and role-model a culture of high performance.
Proactively seek opportunities, make recommendations for, implement and evaluate new and innovative ways of working/providing services, in order to continuously improve the partnering service offered to the organisation.
Personally manage complex / higher risk employee relations casework, including at Employment Tribunal level.
Maintain an awareness of new and emerging statutory legislation, case law and best practice and provide proactive advice on the implications.
Ensure that people policies and processes are continuously reviewed, and changes implemented where necessary .
Participate in corporate project work as required, working to ensure that key people issues are identified and addressed at the appropriate time.
Ensure that accurate and timely reports and information are produced and analysed, to enable the making of informed decisions.
Monitor and audit documentation held by the People Partner Team to ensure that it is collated, stored, analysed and provided in accordance with statutory and Service policy requirements and standards.
