Inventory Controller- Permanent- Bedfordshire

We're currently working with the leading manufacturer of industrial braking systems! Enjoying excellent success even during the COVID climate due to their ability to maintain supply and delivery to their customers on a global basis. Part of a larger group, the wider business operates across 70 countries across the world with a reputation of quality, service and delivery.


Due to continued growth, they are actively seeking an Inventory Controller to join the team reporting into the Purchasing Manager to monitor warehouse inventory and perform cycle counting tasks to ensure materials are verified to be reflective of inventory reported.


The day-to-day duties of the Inventory Controller include but are not limited to:

  • Cycle count raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and non-conforming materials daily.
  • Utilise SAP to process cycle counts on bulk raw materials, review on-hand inventory, current activity, and past activity.
  • Ensure materials are in proper locations. Conducts searches in order to locate misclassified inventory.
  • Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products to Value Stream Manager - publish weekly and quarterly inventory metrics.
  • Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommend improvement to eliminate them.


Skills and experience required for this role include:

  • Experienced in shipping and receiving within a warehouse/stores environment.
  • Organised with high attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate results.
  • Comfortable using computer packages including Microsoft office.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build longstanding relationships with suppliers.


The role will be a day's position working 08:30am-4:30pm and are looking to pay up to 22k for the right candidate.
