A large organisation in the automotive industry is looking for a hard-working IT Technician to join their team. Having delivered world class innovation, they are always looking to develop their technology further, entering new markets and building a more sustainable future.
This is a fairly junior role, so candidates would be expected to be on-site 5 days per week initially, to learn the infrastructure and get up to speed, but then there is plenty of flexibility with most current employee's working 2-3 days in the office and 2-3 days remote.
As well as on the job training, there is potential for you to be put through industry recognised certifications to increase your skillset further.
The Role:
- Be the first point of contact for any IT based Issues
- Log tickets on the helpdesk system
- Resolve tickets where possible and escalate when appropriate
- Administer accounts using active directory
- Support IT projects
- Ensure new employees have all the IT hardware they need
What we are looking for:
- Enthusiastic about IT
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service mentality
- The office is based on the outskirts of Cambridge, so a driving licence and car is likely to be required
This role could suit someone who is looking for their first commercial IT position, that can prove their passion for IT via their studies or completion of IT related courses, or someone with 1-3 years' experience who is looking for a new challenge.
Salary for the role is £22k-£24k, 25 days annual leave, strong pension as well as personal development opportunities.
