We are partnering with a premium car dealership with their head office based in Colchester, boasting 50+ dealerships across the UK. This expanding business is growing their team within the motor trade arm of the organisation, specifically within their in-house legal department. This is a small but highly skilled team of legal professionals, that will provide expert support and knowledge focused towards Commercial contracts and Litigation.
This company features a fleet of premium vehicles including BMW, Mercedes, Porsche and McLaren across their dealerships. This role will be offered on a hybrid working basis with potentially one day a week required to attend the Colchester office, for collaborative meetings.
As you grow into the role you will also be supported by the in-house development team, who back funded accreditation's for their employees. You will benefit from an amazing culture within the team and provide support to our in-house legal counsel. Where necessary, leading on departmental initiatives and project work.
Responsibilities
- Review, negotiate and advise on operational contracts including Non-Disclosure Agreements, Terms and Conditions Framework Services Agreements and other legal contracts.
- Providing legal and administrative support to the Group Legal team and advising on customer issues and legal disputes.
- Dealing with complex matters across the team such as risk, Compliance, Procurement and Data Privacy.
- Drafting, providing advice on and responding to legal notices relating to or received by the business.
A big part of this role will be dealing with Commercial Contracts, Commercial Litigation and GDPR, so exposure to these areas is essential.
