We are recruiting for a business based in North Cambridge who are BEYOND interesting - they are a company that pride themselves on being at the forefront of their industry and are proud to have their industrial equipment used world-wide.

We are looking for an experienced individual to join the logistics team as a Logistics Co-ordinator on a purely temporary basis, or even on a temporary-permanent basis for the right candidate. This position will be office based, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm and will be looking to pay around £13.81-£15.34ph dependent on experience. The ideal candidate will be immediately available or with a short notice period and will have previous experience within a similar role.

In this role, you will be working as part of a small team, overseeing and administering the cycle of order fulfilment. This role will involve processing and progressing all orders from order acceptance/acknowledgement, through to delivery and acceptance by the customer - all of this, whilst maintaining all licence/export compliance documentation and invoicing as required.

Duties may include:

  • Raising & accepting orders within Sage 50
  • Liaising with sales, production & customers/agents to obtain necessary information on orders prior to shipment
  • Managing order fulfilment and transportation cycle to ensure agreed dates are met
  • Maintaining progress spreadsheets and full audit trails
  • Preparing invoices and delivery notes
  • Preparing documentation of loads for shipment
  • Managing UK export licences
  • Arranging shipments with courier companies and freight forwarders
  • Ensuring goods are shipped in accordance with Incoterms, the company's payment terms & export compliance
  • Ongoing review of freight costs and dealing with freight quotations
  • Managing relationships with transport providers to resolve shipping issues
  • Ordering courier supplies


Experience of working within a similar role is essential, however training will be given as required. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a logistics role (import/export, customs procedures/regulations) as well as knowledge of export collections, documentary collections and Incoterms. Experience in the use of Sage or a similar order fulfilment system is desirable, along with good planning and organisational skills with good attention to detail. You will also have effective communication skills with a professional telephone manner, and have the ability to take responsibility for quality of work produced as well as be able to adapt to priorities and ad-hoc workloads.
