Following this college's high growth in 2021, a new role has arisen for an Office/Operations Manager to manage a diverse team of 9 with the aim to enhance the management structure within the organisation. This team has recently grown in size and needs a managing body to help them settle into their new hybrid working model.

This college is an international expert provider in its field and this exciting new role has both requirements for internal team management, as well as elements of customer focus, including safeguarding.

This role will initially be on a temporary 3-6-month basis with the potential to become permanent and will looking to pay up to around £32,000pa for the right candidate. Working hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm with every Tuesday working from home.

Reporting to the Operations Director, the key elements of this role will include:

  • Line management of a team of 9
    • Reviewing job roles and introducing performance reviews
    • Day-to-day task management of the team
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of the admin team
    • Ensuring continuing high standards of customer care and record keeping
  • Quality assurance
    • Ensuring documentation is completed to a high standard
    • Creation of quality assurance procedures
    • Ensuring compliance within the Data Protection regulations
  • Health & Safety and well-being of the team
    • Purchasing of any equipment needed
    • Advising on training needs
  • Dealing with complaints
    • To be the 2nd line for complaint handling
  • Safeguarding
    • DBS enhanced check required
    • Undergo safeguarding and prevent training


The ideal candidate will need to come in and 'hit the ground running' with previous experience in managing teams, whilst taking control of the quality of the work the team do.
