This company based just outside Cambridge have gone from strength to strength over the last couple of years and are now looking to strengthen their R&D team with a Senior Electronics Design Engineer.

This well-established company have been around for 40 years and offer a friendly, family-feel culture in a village location with plenty of free parking and easy access by road and rail.

Their markets range across security, aerospace, military and industrial, with some extremely interesting, hi-tech products.

The Role:

  • Feasibility studies for new products
  • Circuit design and PCB layout
  • System integration type projects
  • Maintenance of existing product designs
  • EMC and Low Voltage product approvals
  • Production support
  • General radiometric system design
  • Digital design including FPGAs/CPLDs (language VHDL or Verilog), DSP and microprocessors
  • Analogue design, optoelectronics, small motor control and power supply design.
  • Contribute significantly to project development, both as a lead technical role and as project manager within a multidisciplinary team.

About You:

  • Degree in Electronics/Physics
  • Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the technologies involved in your current experience.
  • Able to produce 'right first time' quality work
  • Experience with SoC solutions would be a bonus
  • Flexibility to work in and learn about areas outside your previous experience
  • Keen for a challenge!
