Working on behalf of a global, Peterborough based organisation, we're looking for an experienced writer to join a niche hobbies and leisure publication as a full-time Staff Writer.
As a market-leading brand, the expectation to deliver engaging and time-sensitive news pieces, is high. Finding the right person for this role is crucial to the wider success of the team in meeting the deadlines of the magazine. It'll require an exceptional communicator who has previous experience of writing a variety of stories, to an incredibly high standard.
It would also be great if you've got a natural eye for good accompanying imagery and a keen interest in digital content, too.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Sourcing, writing, and delivering news-related content for both magazine and online platforms
- Working to incredibly tight deadlines
- Interviewing stakeholders (readers and key industry figures) in order to obtain authentic quotes and views for stories
- Actively participating in news and feature planning meetings, bringing fresh ideas each week
