I'm looking for two individuals who are ambitious and keen to develop their sales career with a global company through hard work and a commitment to the business.
Due to ongoing growth this market leading interior products manufacturer is on the hunt for one Trainee Area Sales Manager to cover the Midlands & North of the UK and another Trainee Area Sales Manager to cover the South of the UK.
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager these roles will involve calling via a journey plan covering 6-8 visits per day to sub-contractors as well as distributors / retailers.
Each client visit will revolve around promoting the company's brands namely interior finishing products for the commercial contract sector.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that all point of sales in the area have the needed support in terms of marketing tools i.e sample cards and brochures to strengthen product exposure
- Training the subcontractors and distributors sales staff on the benefits of the company's products
- To cross-sell and up-sell
- Working in partnership with the company's field sales and marketing teams to share leads / information on market trends / customer relationships and competitor activity
To be considered for either of these vacancies you need to have some form of B2B sales experience plus be an ambitious, autonomous and driven individual.
Other key attributes include being a strong communicator, entrepreneurial, computer literate in Word, Excel and Powerpoint and a great networker and goal focused.

As these as field based sales roles you will be required to have a valid UK driving licence.
Due to the client base in the North being focused on the M62 corridor applicants should ideally live in areas such as but not limited to Liverpool, Manchester, Chester, Leeds, Sheffield, Halifax or Hull.
The Southern role is concentrated on the Home Counties therefore candidates should ideally live in areas such as but not limited to Kent, Surrey, Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire, East Sussex or West Sussex, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire or Cambridgeshire.
As the areas to be covered are sizeable there will be a need for some overnight stays each month which are fully expensed by the company.
On offer is a salary of up to £28,000 plus 20% annual bonus, pension, healthcare, company car, laptop, mobile phone and home broadband.
