This is a newly created position, where you will be joining a small, friendly team with a strong reputation in a niche sector.
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant who is available to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities
You will play a vital role in supporting the CFO with responsibilities including:
- Calculating, preparing, and posting journals
- Completing bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Posting cash transactions
- Preparing and issuing invoices
- Running direct debit collections
- Supporting VAT return preparation
- Assisting with audit preparation
- Providing financial reports and analysis where appropriate
We are looking for someone who:
- Is self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to work remotely without close supervision
- Can follow instructions carefully and has the aptitude to quickly pick up new systems and processes
- Has strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Is confident working both independently and as part of a small team
- Is eager to learn - full training and support will be provided, but the right candidate will be able to apply their learning quickly and take ownership of routine tasks
