Business Analyst - IT Change, 6 Month FTC

Role

The Business Analyst's primary role is to translate business requirements and processes which require IT changes into a business requirement specification, with support from the IT technical teams. The requirements will support the IT team in the creation of technical documentation, development or sourcing, and delivery of solutions either built on existing platforms or harnessing new technology.

The role provides business analysis through requirements gathering, analysing and translating the business needs to IT by working closely with business and technical colleagues to service internal and external clients. The Business Analyst will ensure that the final solution is viable within the constraints of the time, budget, and quality, and delivers against the documented business requirements.

The Business Analyst will, where necessary, facilitate, or assist in discussions to determine the deliverable project scope and planning.

The Business Analyst will ensure the sign-off of the relevant documentation and maintain version control and traceability matrix of requirements.

Requirements

Evidence of experience of business analysis working on complex and multi-faceted projects

Evidence of successful participation in the delivery of complex programmes

Detailed knowledge of the full project and business analysis lifecycles

Proven ability to extract, assimilate, simplify and convey information across various audiences and ensure they are conveyed in the required format and level of detail for development and testing

A good understanding of analysis and delivery frameworks e.g. AGILE, WATERFALL, TOGAF, PRINCE2, SIX SIGMA

Evidence of ability to work individually or as part of a diverse project team

Proven record of motivation and initiative to manage own work goals and deadlines

The ability to communicate effectively, influencing and negotiating through meeting facilitation, presentations, workshops and documentation across all levels of the business
