Company & Job Overview:
Our Client has a vacancy for Business Development Executive to drive new and existing sales by generating/ nurturing leads and existing accounts. This is a fixed-term role (12 months) covering maternity leave. The company provides signage solutions into the workplace mainly in manufacturing and logistics/ distribution environments.
In Brief:
- Maturing live quotations through site visits and building relationships with commercial teams and buying contacts.
- Qualifying leads and maintaining CRM records.
- Drive increase in product listings with distributors.
- Identifying and developing new sales opportunities.
- Managing new business and quotation pipeline.
The Role:
- Targeting leads from our key audiences, predominantly B2B distributors in the warehouse and industrial settings.
- Identifying key decision makers - actively target for F2F Meetings to build relationships.
- Target live quotations to close.
- Following up on leads from specific campaigns, such as events and exhibitions, sponsored digital lead generation and email marketing.
- Account-based approach to progressing key prospects, using multiple channels - LinkedIn, email, phone, etc. to develop relationships and nurture the opportunity to progress to enquiry/order/product listings.
- Work towards a monthly sales target
Skills, Experience & Attributes:
- Experience in New Business Development and Account Management in a B2B environment
- Developing an understanding of the company and the industry in which it operates, and the challenges that it faces from internal and external factors.
- The role requires somebody who can generate leads from sometimes cold sources, as well as nurture existing contacts.
- Being results-orientated and accountable to deliverables is essential, as this role will be measured through set KPIs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with CRM and ERP systems.
- Fluctuating and short lead times for quotations.
- An eye for detail and ability to visualise the customer journey while identifying opportunities to improve the customer's experience.
- Analytical, diligent, tenacious, persistent, and balanced.
- Capable of working to challenging deadlines and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Salary & Benefits:
- Hours: 38.25 hours per week (Monday to Thursday: 8:45 am to 5:30 pm, Friday: 5:00 pm finish)
- Salary: Up to £35k depending on experience
- Bonus: Discretionary based on company performance
