It's no surprise then that vacancies don't come up very often with this global market leading designer and manufacturer of commercial catering equipment for the foodservice industry.

This new Business Development Manager vacancy has arisen due to exciting UK growth plans and covers the North West / M62 corridor.

The successful candidate will ideally live in or around Manchester, Cheshire or Merseyside and have experience working in a field sales role selling to the UK catering distributor network or to commercial kitchens.

Customers span everything from education establishments to care homes and hospitals to bars, restaurants, hotels, cafes and pubs including Michelin starred venues.

You ideally would have sold kitchen equipment but high calibre field sales professionals who have sold food could also be considered.
Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, you will be working in a demanding, fast-paced environment that offers both diversity and challenge.

Responsibilities include;

  • Building and maintaining strong, collaborative working relationships within the existing supply chain; consultants, design houses and the operational and purchasing teams of our customer base.
  • Managing and developing key distributors in the North of England
  • Meeting pre-defined and agreed sales targets across distinctive category groups
  • Assisting distributors with training and site surveys
  • Identifying new distributors, group accounts and developing sales plans


Key knowledge could include having a clear understanding of the politics and commercial relationships that exist within the UK foodservice market plus an understanding of functional and ergonomic kitchen layouts and use of a CRM system.

As this is a fully remote field based role you will be required to hold a valid UK driving licence.
