Our client is a highly respected business with offices in and around the UK and beyond and they currently have an exciting opportunity for someone to join their small but dynamic commercial finance team which has a highly visible role in the continued development of the company.

They now have a rare opportunity that will suit an actively studying part or nearly qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA candidate to join as a Commercial Finance Analyst.

Working closely with the sales and marketing teams, you will be responsible for reporting, analysis and provide informed support that will enable the right decision making for the business.

The duties will be varied and will include;

Preparation and analysis of weekly/period results and challenge anomalies where appropriate
Period end reconciliation
Journal preparation and entry and completing period end controls
Ensure all pricing is up to date and maintained
Supporting commercial teams in preparation and tracking of budgets and forecasts
Aged analysis of accruals for commercial spend
Improving and streamlining the reporting process
Producing core data, reports, trending graphs and uploads
Supporting teams to build robust budgets and forecasts
Ad hoc budget and forecasting analysis
Business partnering with marketing team
P&L preparation and robust challenge of assumptions

This role will suit someone who enjoys being challenged and working in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment.

As you will be working with commercial people, you outstanding communication skills and the ability to challenge and question are essential attributes alongside being able to partner with the people in order to achieve the common goal.

An articulate and professional approach is key but additionally you will be the sort of person who can truly partner with people and build excellent working relationships.

Advanced IT skills, notably in Excel are essential and experience working with ERP systems would be an advantage although not essential as training will be given.
