This is a lovely position for an experienced Credit Control Manager who is happy to oversee purchase ledger/accounts payable too. Your daily duties will include
- Managing two staff members, 1 Credit Controller and 1 AP Clerk
- Working closely with the sales team
- Building relationships with internal and external customers
- Setting up new accounts and credit checking
- Running checks on credit limits to mitigate risk
- Ensuring invoicing is sent out timely
- Liaise with third party debt agencies as needed
- Review credit notes
- Ensure timely closure at month and year end
- Bad debt calculations for review
- Make the business aware of deferred income
- Cash allocations
- Resolving any customer invoices issues
- Approve changes to supplier bank details
- Approve payment runs
- Monthly reconciliations
- Work with the rest of finance to ensure accurate accruals and prepayments
- Reporting on debtor and creditor days
- Weekly cash reporting
- Aged debt analysis
- Cash flow forecasting
- Customer on stop reporting
- Staff appraisals, support, recruitment and performance management

You will be someone who has worked at a senior level in Credit Control, who is a real team player. You will enjoy being hands on, mentoring and supporting the team and wider business. You could currently be a manager/supervisor or someone that has the right attributes to become one.
