Our client is one of the major players within the horticultural industry in the UK. They've held this position for many years and don't intend to give it up anytime soon!

At their Spalding site, I have a vacancy for a Customer Technologist to handle the technical relationship with a major customer. You don't *need* to already have technologist experience to be considered for this one. My client is seeking someone with expert knowledge in fresh produce manufacturing & supply, who has had some experience in dealing with retail customers.

Examples of your experience could be:

  • Working in Quality/QA/QC within fresh produce, and you've had some exposure to retail customers
  • Working in a national accounts role within fresh produce, and you fancy a move into technical
  • You're a technical assistant, technical co-ordinator or similar (within fresh) and you want to move into a more appealing business


But the basic qualifications are:

  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Fresh produce technical knowledge, data analysis of complaints, KPI, QMS, artwork, specs
  • An engaging personality & ability to build solid relationships
