The Accountancy & Finance Division at The One Group is exclusively working with a PE Backed business in recruiting for an Experienced Finance Business Partner. Reporting into the Commercial Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in the senior management team and will focus on delivering its strategic objectives by enabling the business's stakeholders to make clear decisions.
As the Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for:
- Own and present the annual sales budget (Turnover down to Gross Margin) and improve the Commercial forecasting process to a rolling 12 month forecast.
- Develop and maintain robust management reporting frameworks and processes. Produce regular management reports that show financial performance, key metrics, and trends.
- Develop and use Power BI to analyse and visualise financial and operational data. Create dashboards and interactive reports that help stakeholders access and interpret data effectively.
- Create and present management information that proactively identifies the key performance information for the SLT. Use business knowledge and objectives to propose specific and actionable decisions for them to consider.
- Initial Finance contact in all tender process. Developing and championing a standardised tender document that is recognisable to everyone involved. It is paramount that this document is robust, accurate.
- Archiving tenders and using these to measure against actual results.
- Conducting in-depth analysis of financial and non-financial data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities. Presenting findings and recommendations to management to support strategic decision-making.
- Utilizing statistical techniques and data modelling to enhance forecasting and planning processes.
- Developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance scorecards to track and evaluate business performance. Collaborating with stakeholders to define meaningful metrics and targets.
- Monitoring KPIs and providing insights on performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline and automate management reporting and BI processes. Implementing enhancements to improve data accuracy, reporting efficiency, and data visualization. Collaborating with IT teams to leverage technology solutions for data integration and reporting automation.
- Working closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to understand their reporting and analysis requirements. Providing proactive insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Building strong relationships with stakeholders and acting as a trusted advisor in management reporting and BI.
- Overall Support the business in its strategic aim of maximising profit, through a growth in commercial income and margin.
The successful Finance Business Partner will have the followings skills and attributes:
- Fully qualified or working towards being a fully qualified accountant
- Strong experience in management reporting, financial analysis, and business intelligence
- Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, or preferably Power BI - advantageous
- Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis
- Familiarity with data visualisation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Delivering this information throughout all levels within in the business
- Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with emerging trends in BI and data analytics
