Our client is a local business with a history of staff retention and they have a rare opportunity for someone to join their finance team, heading up the function as Financial Controller.
Ideally a post-qualified accountant, the role will be varied and duties will include
- Overseeing a small team
- Production of monthly management accounts and consolidation
- Balance sheet accounts
- Cashflow reporting and analysis
- Working closely with overseas entities
- Implementing KPIs and regular review
- Business partnering with department heads and putting in place processes as appropriate
- Foreign currency management and control
- Producing year end accounts and working closely with auditors
- Ensuring timely closure of month end ledgers
- Quarterly VAT returns, EC and Intrastat
- Treasury management
This role will suit someone who has previous experience in an FC role and enjoys being hands-on in a varied role.
Experience working in manufacturing would be a distinct advantage but the ability to look at the big picture is essential and experience working with overseas businesses would also be useful.
Strong IT skills - notably in Excel - are essential and familiarity with ERP software would be highly beneficial.
