This newly created position presents a fantastic opportunity for someone who is qualified but also enjoys being hands-on.

Working for an exciting young, growing business in a niche sector this role has an international flavour to it but will be based in the UK.

Working as the number two to the CFO this role will play a key part in adding value to the reporting and controls and to gain substantial experience in providing commercial & legal support to the business.

The duties of this position will be varied and will include
Taking responsibility for the accounting and financial reporting for the group consolidation and the subsidiary companies
Weekly consolidated sales & operational metrics
Monthly consolidated management accounts
Maintaining annual outturn and 12 month rolling forecasts (balance sheet, cash flow and P&L).
Preparation of annual budgets for each of the international entities and assist in rolling these entities into a consolidated budget (including Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and P&L).
Managing the internal and external bookkeeping team for the international subsidiaries
Maintain and reconcile inter-company and foreign funds transfers.
Developing the reporting to better understand operational profitability of the business. Take a hands-on approach to working with the managers to identify areas of systems and cost improvement, with a focus on increasing Company profitability each year.
Liaising between all areas of the business
Develop and maintain improved financial controls within the group.

The successful candidate will be a proven communicator and someone who is comfortable taking a hands-on approach as well as being capable of working with senior stakeholders across the world.

A fully-qualified accountant you will be a completer-finisher with excellent attention to detail who cares passionately about being precise and accurate.

Working with personnel across all platforms, this role requires someone who has the intellectual capacity to cope with numerous different accounting and tax jurisdictions.

Additionally you will be a critical thinker who is analytically, confident and commercially aware with a measured but assertive approach to decision making and planning.

Advanced IT skills, notably in Excel and ideally with experience of Power BI, proven exposure to accounting systems is also key.
