About the Role:

The sales team is seeking a Key Account Manager to join their ranks and immerse themselves in the literature division during a period of dynamic expansion. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing and nurturing relationships with diverse retail outlets, including bookstores, museums, and speciality shops. By leveraging client visits and sales calls, they will not only sustain existing sales channels but also uncover and seize new business prospects.

Collaboration with the books team and marketing department will be paramount, as the Key Account Manager contributes to crafting unique title ranges geared towards substantial growth. Their insights into customer preferences and market dynamics will shape strategic decisions, as they provide regular feedback to the senior management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding each account comprehensively, identifying their unique selling points, and devising effective strategies for leverage.
  • Curating tailored lists of titles for each account, leading engaging sales presentations, and coordinating with internal teams on pricing and delivery.
  • Ensuring seamless supply chain management by collaborating with warehouse and finance teams, while providing essential administrative support.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proactive individuals with a penchant for innovation and a drive to excel.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence others, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in sales, strong administration skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are essential. Previous exposure to the publishing industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
