The Role:


As a Logistics Manager you will hold full accountability for the day to day running of the department to ensure that products are shipped correctly and safely, on time, to customer specification. You will work closely with the Fulfilment Manager to ensure the efficient flow of work through the facility as well as being responsible for all people management tasks and the continuous development of the processes and systems within the Logistics department.

Day to day activity will include:

  • Ensuring orders are prioritised effectively to meet customer dispatch dates.
  • Scheduling of jobs to Employed Drivers utilising all vehicles within the Fleet and planning of multi drop runs on single vehicles to reduce running costs
  • Management and organisation of all contracted delivery companies
  • Upkeep and running of all software programmes associated with overnight and same day couriers.
  • The collation of all consignment reports and distribution of POD's to the Client Services team.
  • Communicating the availability and capabilities of the Fleet vehicles to staff within the department and Production management.
  • Ensuring daily checks on Fleet vehicles are completed and recorded.
  • Developing and maintaining key customer relationships, internal and external, ensuring clear communication and effective resolution of service delivery issues
  • Covering the Fulfilment Coordinator during periods of absence


What is required:

  • In depth knowledge of shipping & logistics processes and experience in a managerial position within these areas
  • Experience in both National and International shipping
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced production environment · Knowledge of the digital print market.
  • People management and workforce planning experience
  • Experience of identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
