Based in their Stevenage office you will be leading the occupational health and wellbeing team, delivering in-house services of statutory health surveillance, employee health & wellbeing (promotion), and assisting the business in executing the health & wellbeing strategy effectively across the businesses UK locations

Essential to be considered

  • OH lead with an MSc or BSc, RN1 & 3 - OH SCPHN
  • Confident, professional, influential, experienced OH lead with proven ability to effectively lead and manage OH&W teams, engage positively with Trade Unions, Senior Leaders, HR colleagues, other stakeholders and external partners
  • Experienced in designing, implementing and evaluating innovative health & wellbeing programmes (including mental health)
  • Contract and vendor management experience
  • Clinical governance, risk, quality and budget management experience
  • Experience supporting and advising senior leaders
  • Demonstrable successful track record of achievement in a similar role, driving metrics and insights
  • Proven resilience in an OH environment to deal with the demands of the role


Your role

  • Overseeing and leading the Occupational Health & Wellbeing Services, setting clear visions and strategies and targets
  • Key contributor and clinical leader to pandemic management team and health crisis management
  • Acting as the senior leadership team trusted person by providing specialist advice and guidance and attending steering committees
  • Stakeholder lead for the OH database migration project
  • Writing, reviewing, and updating OH&W related business policy and procedures
  • Ensuring all OH programmes - health surveillance/assessment, case management, travel health, are managed effectively
  • Partnering with diverse stakeholders
  • Interfacing with a broad range of suppliers and responsible for OH budgets
  • Responsible for health/medical security risks ratings/review
  • Maintain OH records in a secure and confidential manner
