The role
- Design and develop new and innovative injection moulded products using a range of recycled plastic derivatives particularly Polypropylene.
- Reporting directly to the Technical Manager you will be proactive in following up new concepts and ensuring any new designs are technically producible using existing technology.
- Liaise closely with all stakeholders in the development of the products and ensure all design and technical briefs are being met.
- Keep up to date with current standards for plastic manufactured products within the construction and house building markets.
- Conduct site visits to review existing products and investigate possible new opportunities.
Experience
- Working knowledge of designing and using Polypropylene and other plastic based materials and their design and manufacturing techniques and tooling.
- Previous experience in running FEA simulations on steel & plastic designs.
- Understanding of the financial aspects of your actions and decision-making process
- Good understanding of SolidWorks Professional
- Be open to designing products in other material types.
