I am pleased to be supporting a leading FMCG company near Ely who are renowned for their name and history within the fresh produce sector as well as their strong company values.
They are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their small finance team.
Duties will include
- Processing high volumes of invoices efficiently and accurately.
- Match, batch, and code invoices in accordance with company procedures.
- Reconcile supplier statements and manage any discrepancies or queries.
- Ensure timely payment of invoices, including preparation of payment runs.
- Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve any invoice or payment issues.
- Communicate confidently and professionally with senior leaders and Directors within the business in relation to the purchase order process
- Assist with month-end close
Key skills and experience required:
- Proven experience in a Purchase Ledger role, ideally within a fast-paced environment (FMCG experience preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data processing.
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an inquisitive and proactive attitude.
This is a full time role, working on site Monday to Friday. Due to their rural location, own transport is essential.
