Our client, a hugely successful and long-established agricultural business who champion and drive responsible agriculture, is recruiting for a Strategic Account Manager position.
You will report to the Commercial Director and have responsibility for the direct line management of 2 dedicated Account Managers. Together you will oversee the day-to-day management of one of the company's largest accounts to facilitate a strong customer relationship and a mutually profitable partnership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contribute to the development of the account's sales strategy, agreeing budgetary targets in terms of sales margins, cost of sales and debtor performance, with the objective of taking maximum advantage of market conditions and competitor activity.
- Take a leading role on a range of business projects
- Liaise with key internal stakeholders to develop and deliver an account plan which supports the delivery of the sales strategy and achieves account goals.
- Co-ordinate the account management activities to ensure a strong relationship is built and sustained which engenders trust in both account management and technical competence.
This role is homebased but will require national travel to visit clients and with some overnight stays. A full UK driving licence is essential.
To apply you will be a proven field sales professional within the farming / agricultural sector and be able to demonstrate successful key account experience. Ideally you will be well-connected within the poultry sector.
Additionally, you will be highly self-motivated and have excellent communication skills.
