Location: Rugby
Salary: £65,000 - £72,000 +10% bonus

We're recruiting for a Technical Manager to join a leading tech organization services in their Configuration Services division. This function has grown significantly over the past decade and is now at the forefront of delivering large-scale pre-staging, imaging, deployment, and data centre build solutions for enterprise customers.

What you'll be doing as a Technical Manager?

  • Lead the technical function within configuration services, providing direction to a skilled team of transition and enterprise technicians.
  • Act as a technical authority for customer tours, solution presentations, and internal stakeholders.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, ensuring services are futureproofed and competitive.
  • Partner with Solutions Architects and Chief Technologists to align with customer requirements.
  • Oversee technical governance, statements of work, and delivery of complex data centre/networking projects.
  • Support the development of your team through certifications, training, and career growth.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong background in data centre infrastructure, networking, and pre-staging environments.
  • Experience building/staging racks, configuring data centre equipment, and advising on networking solutions.
  • Knowledge of deployment methodologies (imaging, autopilot, etc.) at a high level.
  • Industry certifications (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE) are highly desirable, but proven experience is more important
  • A leader with excellent people skills (able to inspire teams and simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences)
  • Customer-facing confidence (able to present, advise, and represent technical capability)
  • Self-driven, energetic, and passionate about technology and service excellence
