The One Group are pleased to be working with a manufacturer of off highway machinery and engines in Peterborough who are seeking a Test and Development Engineer from an off highway or Automotive background to work within there customer machine engineering team.

My client is looking for an enthusiastic engineer who can use there own initiative to work on engine & machine integration, testing and ensuring there customers machines are operating correctly.
The day-to-day duties include:
- Operate a multitude of different off-highway vehicles including but not limited to, Hydraulic Excavators, Back-hoe Loaders, Telehandlers, Track Type Tractors where required.
- Diagnose and fix a range of faults on both engine and machine.
- Work from engineering drawings (electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic)
- Produce electrical looms to interface engine and machine.

What we are looking for:
- Experience working with a different unit or working with different products, processes, or systems is desirable.
- Must have ability to communicate effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well as employees in other units, customers, and suppliers.
- Demonstrable high level of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical/electronic aptitude with a good working knowledge of engines and machines.

The client is looking to pay £30 per hour Umbrella company contractor and the contract will last 12 months with the opportunity for it to be extended.
