I started out as a graduate trainee for a corporate recruitment business in London. After various years enjoying central London life, I moved to Cambridge where I worked for a couple of recruitment businesses each with very different approaches and cultures. These experiences inspired me to set up my own recruitment business, adopting what I felt was the best practices of all that I had learned so far. Three maternity breaks later and missing the buzz of corporate life I joined The ONE Group to further the growth of the Finance Division. 9 years on and a few extra divisional management roles under my belt, I am now Operations Director across all 3 of our offices.
Why do I love recruitment? It’s challenging, engaging, and rewarding. I love understanding how businesses operate and how they structure their teams and thrive through their people. I guess if I’m honest... I’m just really nosy!
I love the psychology of people management and the challenge of driving performance in a very tough sector and environment.
I’m a bit of a workaholic, BUT, when I’m not in the office I’m a ‘chauffeur’ and chief negotiator for 3 teenagers. When I do find some time for myself I'll be up-cycling furniture, catching up with friends or taking to the coastal roads on the back of my husband’s Harley. Never a dull moment!
