One of our clients had several temporary recruitment opportunities come up in their team in quick succession due to sickness and other factors. The requirement for temporary placements became urgent and critical to their business needs. The positions needed were key to the smooth running of the team and the client required a quick and transparent recruitment process.

Our specialist temporary recruitment team has their pulse on the market and due to the good relationships built, are always aware of candidates with the relevant skills and their availability. In this instance, we were able to provide a number of temporary candidates whilst being transparent in the process so the client was aware at all times and felt part of the process.

The temporary candidate marketplace is particularly fierce, and counteroffers are rife - as a result of this, one high-level candidate due to go into a business-critical role became unavailable the day before they were due to start. We ensured to handle this situation swiftly and professionally by offering a different candidate for the role, who was also available immediately – all within a 24-hour period, adding little disruption to the original plan.

Going Above and Beyond

We were approached by a client that we had never worked with before in the nursery sector - a field that was new to us. They were in desperate need of a temporary nursery assistant to work for just one day - the next day. Their requirements were that they needed the candidate to be immediately available, be able to travel to the nursery, and have a live and active DBS.

The nursery had tried but was unable to find someone for the role. If unsuccessful, the nursery would have to close due to the children-to-adult ratio not being met.

Although this field was a new area for us, we were able to find someone who matched the criteria and organised the transport for them, as they were also unable to make their own way to the nursery.

We were able to deliver a suitable temporary candidate so the nursery didn’t need to close.
