This Accounts Senior position offers an exciting opportunity to join an award winning accountancy firm based in Peterborough on a full time, permanent basis. The office environment is fun, friendly and focused which creates a space where you genuinely look forward to going into the office.

Within this role you will be working with a variety of clients across many sectors and so a professional but approachable manner will be crucial, in order to develop and maintain customer relationships.

Previous experience of accounts preparation within a practice environment is essential and a minimum of AAT Level 3 is also required to be successful within this position.

Your responsibilities will be very hands on and fast paced, so organisation and time management skills will be hugely advantageous. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of statutory financial statements
• Preparation of accounting schedules
• Assistance with bookkeeping and VAT return preparations
• Preparation of quarterly management accounts for onward submission to clients
• Updating client systems to align with signed accounts

This role would suit a candidate who is looking for their next step up within practice, to develop their current skills and knowledge further and to have more exposure within various areas of accounts. You will be a valuable employee who can be on hand to assist and support other members of the team as and when required.
