Position Overview: We are currently seeking a talented Area Sales Representative to join our client's team. This role offers a unique 50/50 split of time, allowing you to work both from the comfort of your home and out on the road, engaging with clients and driving sales across the Home Counties region.

As an Area Sales Representative, your primary responsibility will be to develop business within the home counties and London, meeting and exceeding targets set by the company. You will be instrumental in promoting and selling the full range products to existing and potential stockists, while providing product training and maintaining customer relationships. This role requires proactive identification of opportunities, effective time management, and thorough reporting to ensure the success of sales efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking out new business opportunities.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with potential clients to present the products/services and negotiate contracts.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify potential areas for growth and development.
  • Collaborate closely with the internal sales team and management to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Be willing to travel and stay away from home overnight when necessary.
  • Attend head office as required and carry out any other duties as requested (Peterborough)
  • Maintain up-to-date customer details on the database and provide visit reports.
  • Gather market intelligence on competitor products and new offerings.
  • Manage time efficiently for both face-to-face and virtual customer visits.
  • Promote and sell products to various market segments including merchants, specifiers, councils, contractors, and MOD.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in a similar field or industry.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for exceeding targets and driving business growth.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Home Counties region.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
