The One Group are excited to be partnering with a small but rapidly growing, family-run manufacturing business in Peterborough who are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join them on a full time, permanent basis.
Working closely with the Finance Manager your responsibilities will be varied, fast paced and consist of the following:
- Processing purchase ledger invoices
- Preparing weekly payment runs
- Bank reconciliation
- Allocation of sales ledger receipts
- Assistant in the preparation of management accounts
The successful candidate would ideally be studying AAT, however this is not essential. You will need to be confident in the transactional processes involved in the role and therefore have experience in a similar role, have great attention to detail and have basic knowledge of excel. If you are looking for a step up from an accounts assistant role, this could be the opportunity for you!
This role will be a fully office based role, however there is potential, after the initial 3 month training period, to work from home 1 day per week.
