This Assistant Accountant position represents an outstanding opportunity to join a business that is established and successful and really make your mark in finance.

As a strong number two the Financial Controller, you will assist with the smooth running and development of the accounts function whilst ensuring that the day-to-day duties are completed successfully and to a high standard.

The role will be varied, and duties will include

Job costings
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Monthly payroll processing and statutory returns and payments
Assisting with submission of month, quarter, and year end accounts
General ledger and journal postings
Ad hoc project work including involvement with ERP system implementation

This role will suit someone who has proven experience in a similar role and is looking for an opportunity where they can add value through their input.

A patient and thorough approach is essential to this role's success, and whilst the accounts function operates well, there is excellent scope for someone to implement improved processes and ways of working.

Experience of ERP systems would be a distinct advantage, but advanced knowledge of Excel is essential.
