We are currently recruiting on behalf of a top tier client of ours. The CI Lead is integral to their large and extremely busy factory. Key responsibilities for this role include: continuous improvement, projects and administration, adherence to legislation and building capability.

More about the role:
- To be Continuous Improvement Leader for the site reporting to the Group CI Manager
- Enable delivery of gross productivity targets in the order of 10% cost reduction year-on-year ongoing.
- Provide strategy development for the Manufacturing Unit
- Business partner the Senior Ops Managers to identify and develop productivity ideas generation and delivery.
- Provide thought leadership and guidance to the team to develop and engage their behaviours in the move towards High Performing Team ways of working
- Building a strong foundation within the team of ways of working aligned to TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) This role will provide hands on guidance and support to all the IL6S pillars laterally with particular focus on developing Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM).
- Support productivity agenda by teaching A3 problem solving skills and deploying tools to meet targets in regard to cost out and people capability building
- Use Black Belt problem solving skills to manage multiple projects to target higher efficiency and reduced cost
- Operate as 'coach' to CI programmes assisting candidates in understanding content and supporting sponsors in advancing people through programme
- Own manufacturing unit accountability for waste reduction
- Rollout as required training programs for SMED, Kaizen A3 and standard work methodologies

Qualifications/Experience required:
- Degree level equivalent education in Engineering, finance or business
- Operational experience gained within manufacturing- ideally food or FMCG
- Continuous Improvement qualification (ie Master Black Belt)
- Extensive experience in successful application of Lean and 6 sigma techniques, Kaizen SMED and A3.
