We have once again partnered with a global leader in the design, development, manufacture and distribution of premium sportswear. This industry leading company are suppliers to two of the most revered sports brands.
They are looking to add a Customs & Imports Specialist, to work full time at their offices based in Cambridgeshire. You must have significant knowledge and experience of working with imports and be confident of your understanding of the compliance required for customer declarations. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing relationships and being first point of contact for all queries relating to importing/exporting goods. Your other responsibilities for this role will include:
- Daily and month end reporting of import activity
- Preparing AP ledger input import invoices, processing import files and identification of associated freight invoices, monitoring accuracy and resolving any issues/ discrepancies
- Managing customs import VAT and commodity codes
- Project and continuous improvement work relating to shipping processes, developing duty management/customs procedures as needed
- Responsible for advice and updating management on customs related information including emerging matters
