As a recruitment consultancy who prides ourselves on making great client and candidates matches with local organisations in and around East Anglia, we're delighted to be partnering with a fantastic non-profit employer, whose work aims to make the lives of local people better - each and every day.

This is a unique opportunity for a Digital Communications Advisor to join a small team of 7 on a maternity contract for 12 months. You'll report directly to the Head of Communications, working in an environment with an open and friendly culture, whilst also benefitting from home working with current government restrictions. And, whilst working from home might be everyone's preference right now, hybrid working when restrictions allow will see you working part of the time from the Mayor's office in Ely.

Aside from the fancy work settings, you'll have the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of digital communication functions, allowing you to utilise a range of your experience across copywriting, digital design, branding, social media and CRM management. If you're someone who likes to see the bigger picture and take full ownership of a communications approach, this role is nothing short of the perfect place for your next move.

A snapshot of some of the areas you'll be involved in includes:

  • Strategy: Working with the Head of Communications on both digital communications and engagement strategies.

  • Social Media: To include planning, content creation (digital design and branding), community management and engagement, and monitoring of analytics.

  • Website: Additional pages, alterations, content, mailboxes. If you're HTML savvy, that would help!

  • CRM: Workflows, reporting, integration - you'll be exposed to it all! You'll have to work closely with IT on some stuff, so you'll need a thick skin and a "bang head here" sign. Just kidding (ish). Previous Hubspot experience is pretty essential for this.

  • Design & Branding: Use of Adobe Photoshop, AI and InDesign to produce a wide range of graphics and other materials for use across various digital platforms.

  • People Management: Day to day overseeing of the Digital Assistants to provide guidance and mentoring where needed.

As demonstrated above, this a is a broad and busy role which would be ideal for someone who opts for variety over being pigeon-holed. This is also just a snippet of the different areas you'll be exposed to, but we have a full job spec available that we'd love the opportunity to discuss with you further if you feel you may be a good fit.

The role offers a generous salary of up to £40,876 (we know that job adverts without salaries are annoying and we don't think you can get any more specific than that!) and the self-satisfaction of knowing that your efforts are contributing to a better environment to live, study and work in the local area.
