I am delighted to partner with this reputable Cambridge based Software consultancy who is currently seeking a People Lead to join them and offer their workforce something unique and different. This role is all about forging positive working relationships, creating the best possible lines of communication, ensuring well-being and improving the performance of the teams to continue the success of this fantastic business.
You will ideally come from a HR or Coaching background and have a thorough understanding of L&D. You will be adaptable in your approach and will feel extremely comfortable and confident speaking to people at all levels from a Technical background.
It is essential that your background lies within a Technical or Engineering environment.
What this role involves:
- Having meaningful conversations with the people you will coach and develop
- Understand the performance and development planning process and support your team throughout all stages
- Making difficult decisions as and when required
- Run Talent Assessment and participate in the pay review cycle
- Support the people's personal aspirations and objectives
- Identify training needs for individuals
- Get involved in the onboarding process
- Have an understanding and drive to improve the employee life cycle and People strategy within the business

You will need to have:
- Coaching skills
- Proven experience in managing and developing people in remote teams
- Ability to work with salary, development and other people related issues sensitively and professionally
- General technical understanding
- A passion for communication and identifying what motivates people
- Ability to lead, inspire and act in the best interest of both the individual and the company
- Proven experience in managing (1:1's) and developing people (PDP's) in remote teams across multiple time zones within an engineering environment
A background working within Technical or Engineering sectors would be a big advantage for this role as you will need to understand technical terminology and will be engaging with Technical Leads, Project Managers and Engineering Managers on a regular basis.
