The One Group are pleased to be working with a cutting-edge technology business who have been around for decades delivering intelligent propulsion systems to their customers across the Automotive, Motorsport, Aerospace and Marine sectors who are seeking an Engineering Quality Manager to join them on a permanent basis.
My client has a rich heritage in the sector with there products and staff being second to none, with that in mind they are seeking a highly competent Engineering Quality Manager to take overall responsibility of the quality function within the engineering department focusing on both supplier quality and internal quality issues.
This is an exciting time to be joining the business with new projects being won and they see this as a pivotal position within the business.
The day-to-day duties include:
- Ensure quality processes are followed in the areas stated: engine build and test, supplier selection and approval, APQP and APQP with the supply base
- Develop quality processes to support the business strategy
- Create and monitor KPI's for the SQA team
- Support engine development programmes by monitoring suppliers PPAP and APQP processes
- Work on continuous improvement activities within the business
What we are looking for:
- 5 years' experience at Quality Manager or SQA within a manufacturing environment
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and quality standards
- Sound knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes
- Strong understanding of quality tools and techniques
- Knowledge of engine components, engine assembly and high precision machining
