The ONE Group have partnered with a highly respected, world recognised semiconductor manufacturer based in Bedford. Due to retirement, they are looking for an experienced Equipment Technician / Engineer to play a very important role within the team.
It's important that you have a good level of elec-mech experience and have a good understanding of how semiconductor processing equipment works. You will need to be confident and able to hit the ground running!
Working Monday to Friday on alternating early and late shifts, you will support the manufacturing facility, which operates 24/7.

Reporting to the Equipment Engineering Supervisor and as part of a small, friendly team, your role will include:
- Perform and co-ordinate the repair of semiconductor processing machinery
- Improve running time of wafer fab processing equipment
- PPM
- Mechanical, electrical and electronic fault find and repair down to component level
- Continuous improvement
About You:
- Engineering qualification or experience in a similar Equipment Engineering role
- Knowledge of wafer fab processes within the semiconductor industry
- Experienced in the repair of Epitaxy and Ion implant process equipment
- Ability to diagnose and repair electronic and mechanical failures
- Superb problem-solving skills
- Strong teamwork skills and experience
- Ability to document processes and procedures accurately
- Experience of working effectively with equipment suppliers, subcontractors and service engineers
- Able to work both early and late shifts
